Introduction

Château-Grillet AOC is the smallest in France. It consists of just three and a half hectares of Viognier vines and has just a single owner, Château Grillet.

This little plot of on the bank of the Rhône River was given AOC status in 1935, one of the first in fact to receive such recognition. Yet the history of this iconic steep terraced site goes back hundreds of years.
