Quincy is one of a host of recently fashionable satellite appellations to the the Loire Valley’s iconic Sancerre AOC and Pouilly-Fumé AOC. Quincy AOC can be produced in the villages of Quincy and Brinay. It produces intense and mineral driven white wines from the Sauvignon grape; more often than not this will be Sauvignon Blanc, but there are some plantings of the lesser known Sauvignon Gris.
