A rare Portuguese cross found in small quantities on the Azores.
Originally thought to be a cross between Castelao and Muscat of Hamburg, recent DNA testing of the two parents has cast that assumption into doubt. There are only a few hundred hectares of it however and these are predominantly found on the island of Azores where wines are labeled Açores IGP.
