About Château Andron Blanquet

Given Château Andron Blanquet’s enviable position, a stone’s throw from Château Lafite-Rothschild and Château Cos d’Estournel, there has always been a feeling that the wines should offer a little bit more than they do. Nevertheless, the estate is a reliable source of quality wines from the Saint-Estèphe appellation. At present, 16 hectares of gravelly soils are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Château Andron Blanquet is one of the oldest properties in Saint-Estèphe. Between 1966 and 1978 it was ranked as a Cru Grand Bourgeois Exceptionnel by the Union of the Crus Bourgeois du Médoc. The estate usually produces around 64,000 bottles a year.
