In recent years Ajara has seen some investment in its wine scene and with it there is renewed interest in some of Georgia’s more traditional varieties. There are now examples of Brola, Khopaturi, Klarjuli, Mekrenchkhi, Burdzghala, Kviristava, Shvashura, Jineshi, Satsuri and Batomura.
