Maipo is one of the most famous wine growing areas in Chile’s and home to some of the oldest Cabernet Sauvignon vines still in production. The region extends east from Santiago as far as the foothills of the Andes, quietly producing rich, ripe wines with concentration and complexity.
The Rapel Valley is one of Chile’s largest wine regions and covers almost a quarter of the country’s vineyards. Located to the south of the Maipo Valley and to the north of Curico, the Rapel Valley is a warm region tempered by maritime breezes that are perfect for the slow ripening of grapes and the creation of rich, fruit-driven wines.
