Galilee

The Golan Heights Winery was founded in 1983 and cultivate international varieties across a large area of Galilee.

Ashkar Winery is a boutique winery focussed on international red varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz. Founded in 2010 the family vineyards are situated in the red soils of Iqrit village in the heart of the Galilee Highlands, or as they are sometimes referred to, Upper Galilee.

Alexander is a boutique winery founded by winemaker Yoram Shalom in Tel Aviv in 1996. Since being relocated to Beit Yitzhak the wines have won international acclaim for their big, powerful style. They are predominantly made from fruit grown in the Galilee Highlands, particularly on the Mitzpeh Hayamim Mountain.

Carmel Winery is Israel’s historic name, founded in 1882 by Baron Edmond de Rothschild. Wine has been made here ever since, without, it is claimed, missing a single harvest. The main winery is at Zichron Ya’acov, which is situated on the southern slopes of Mount Carmel in the Galilee Highlands, but the winery also purchases fruit from various regions of the country.
