Hajós–Baja is one of Hungary’s hot, dry regions. Its generally sandy soils are home to white and red varieties, notably Riesling, Chardonnay, Kadarka, Kékfrankos, Cserszegi Fűszeres and Zweigelt.
The Koch Winery is the key producer in the Hajós-Baja, where they make a number of wines from varieties such as Kadarka.
