Château Viranel produce wines from Saint Chinian AOC. With a history dating back to 1551, the estate finds itself in the chalky soils of the foothills of the Massif Central. These wines are typically excellent value and a great ambassador for the Saint Chinian appellation.
“A stylish nose of forest fruits, cherry and liquorice leads into a round, supple palate with velvety tannins. Ripe fruit dominates the finish, but there are some pleasant tertiary notes of earth and spice. Good value wine.”
“A subtle and graceful blend with clean aromas of green apple, citrus and faint apricot. This is a balanced, well made wine with soft, mineral influenced freshness. A sapid, versatile gastronomic style, and fine partner to langoustines.”
