Aloxe-Corton AOC

Aloxe Corton AOC is a red and white wine appellation located at the northern end of the Côte de Beaune, serving as the gateway to the hill of Corton. While best known for giving its name to the Grand Cru Corton and Corton Charlemagne vineyards, the appellation itself covers both village and Premier Cru wines made predominantly from Pinot Noir, with small quantities of Chardonnay. Aloxe Corton reds are typically full-bodied and structured, with dark fruit, earthy depth, and firm tannins, reflecting the clay-limestone soils and elevated position of the Corton slopes.
