Just south of Sirmione, the award winning Cà Maiol winery is responsible for some excellent value Lugana. Producing both still and sparkling wine, the company has gone from strength to strength since its foundation in 1967 and today has accumulated about 150 hectares of vineyard. The Lugana Prestige is produced from around 25 hectares of Turbiana vineyards in Desenzano del Garda, Provincial di Brescia, where the soils are predominantly clay. Around a quarter of a million bottles of the Luganda Prestige are produced each year, giving the brand fabulous exposure in front of Lake Garda's thirsty tourist trade, and in international markets.
