Founded by Anne Moller-Racke, Blue Farm Wines remains under her ownership and guidance. Anne, originally from Germany, has over four decades of experience in Sonoma County's wine industry, including co-founding The Donum Estate in 2001 and leading it to acclaim before focusing solely on Blue Farm Wines.

Blue Farm Wines began in 2001 when Anne Moller-Racke planted a seven-acre vineyard behind her historic Victorian farmhouse in Sonoma. This vineyard, known as the Anne Katherina Vineyard, marked the inception of her personal winegrowing project, emphasizing meticulous farming and traditional winemaking techniques.

Situated in the Carneros AVA, Blue Farm Wines operates within Sonoma County, California. Their vineyards span five AVAs within the region, allowing for diverse terroir expression in their wines.

Blue Farm's estate vineyard, Anne Katherina Vineyard, is a seven-acre plot divided into four blocks, each planted with different Pinot Noir clones to create a complete wine. Beyond the estate, Blue Farm sources grapes from select vineyards across five Sonoma County AVAs, including the Laceroni Vineyard in the Russian River Valley. The focus is on rigorous farming practices and a deep connection with the land to produce high-quality grapes. ​
