Château Peyredon Lagravette was acquired in 2009 by Stéphane and Laurence Dupuch. It is located three kilometres (about two miles) east of Listrac, in the village of Médrac. The estate lies partially in the Listrac appellation area and partly in Moulis. The property lies on the Grand Poujeaux mound, reputed for its geological qualities due to Günzian gravel, which provides deep well-drained soil enabling the grapes to ripen fully. 60% of the vines are Merlot and 40% are Cabernet Sauvignon, planted at a density of 9,100 vines per hectare. The vineyard totals five hectares (twelve acres). At Château Peyredon Lagravette, our golden rule is to respect our traditions: we cultivate our vines using no weed killers and harvest by hand. We use Bordeaux mixture to combat any disease. The cellar houses eight-five barrels, all made from French oak, made by different coopers using a variety of toast styles. In these, the flagship Château Peyredon Lagravette wines are aged under the close supervision of the famous consultant oenologist, Éric Boissenot.
