First produced in 2009, the Abbona Riesling started out as an experiment, grafted in fact onto the rootstocks of the winery’s Dolcetto plants. It’s a wine that evolves well, although being planted in clay and limestone soils it does not take on the typical kerosine nose. Still some experimentation taking place - the 2017 sees some wood contact and as such, represents a slight style change to the previous vintages in steel tanks.
