Description

Turriga is the benchmark red wine of Sardinia, conceived by the Argiolas family and Giacomo Tachis. The objective was to create a great Sardinian wine capable of long ageing using only Sardinian varieties. It is a blend of Cannonau, Malvasia Nera, Carignano, and Bovale Sardo with two years ageing in French barriques. The Venus or “Turriga” that adorns the label was found in the Argiolas vineyards in 1935. The first vintage of Turriga was in 1988.
