Dogliani DOCG "Pianezzo" by Francesco Boschis

Francesco Boschis has been producing 'Pianezzo' for a number of years. Formerly labeled under the old Dolcetto di Dogliani DOC, it comes from a 3.5 hectare plot at 420 to 600 meters on the Pianezzo hill in the Dogliani area, where the calcareous, clayey soils seem to suit Dolcetto well. The wine is fermented on the skins in stainless steel for a week and then aged in stainless steel for 8-10 months before bottling.
