Monvigliero wines

Monvigliero is the most renowned MGA in the commune of Verduno and one of the most distinctive vineyards in the entire Barolo zone. Positioned on gentle, south-facing slopes with light, sandy marl soils, Monvigliero is celebrated for producing highly perfumed, elegant wines with fine tannins, bright red fruit, and lifted floral and herbal nuances. Known for its finesse and subtlety rather than sheer power, Monvigliero has become a benchmark for the refined, Burgundian expression of Barolo, especially in the hands of top producers who favour whole-cluster fermentation and long ageing.
