Carelle sous la Chapelle is a mid-slope Premier Cru vineyard in Volnay, located just below the ancient chapel of Saint-Roch. With well-drained limestone and marl soils, the site is known for producing Pinot Noir that is elegant and finely textured, often showing red berry fruit, floral lift, and a gentle mineral line. Wines from Carelle sous la Chapelle tend to be approachable earlier than those from more structured climats, yet they retain the balance and detail that define Volnay's best Premier Crus.
