Clos des Chênes wines

Clos des Chenes is one of the largest and most renowned Premier Cru vineyards in Volnay, situated on the mid to upper slopes toward the southern end of the appellation. Its well-drained soils of limestone and marl, combined with a relatively high elevation, produce Pinot Noir that is structured, intense, and capable of long development in bottle. Wines from Clos des Chenes often show dark red fruit, firm tannins, and a mineral backbone, offering a more powerful expression of Volnay while retaining the balance and finesse that define the village.
