Albarella is a small MGA located in the commune of La Morra, situated just above the more widely known Brunate and Cerequio crus. With a mix of clay and limestone soils and a moderate south to southeast exposure, it offers a balanced ripening environment for Nebbiolo, yielding wines that are fragrant and approachable, with soft tannins and red fruit purity. Though less famous than its neighbours, Albarella contributes finesse and elegance to blends and is occasionally bottled on its own by local producers.
