The Ramona Valley lies to the North East of San Diego and is home to a handful of wineries. It received AVA status in 2006 after being recognised as an area with a rich viticultural history prior to prohibition.
Located next to the Ramona Valley in San Diego County, San Pasqual Valley is home to a small number of wineries making wines from varieties such as Merlot and Syrah.
