Unexciting white grape variety grown in central Greece.
Historically Batiki was found in Thessalia and further north in Thessaloniki, Drama, and Trace where it was consumed as a table grape. When vinified it gives light white wines low in both acidity and body which make it a useful component in the blending of Retsina.
