Vespolina is a red grape variety grown in the north west of Italy. It is used in small quantities as a blending grape in various minor appellations in Piedmont and Lombardy, perhaps most famously contributing to Nebbiolo in Ghemme DOCG.
Davide Carlone is a well respected producer in Boca. Having supplied many other growers in the area with premium fruit for a long time, he has now turned his attention to his own cellar and today produces some of the most ethereal wines in northern Piedmont.
