“Tasted with almost seven years of age to it, but still extremely fresh and attractive on the nose. Semi aged notes of black fruit compote have integrated well with gentle tones of chocolate, woodsmoke and vanilla. On the palate it’s impressive too. Structured, but soft and mature. Layers of concentrated black current fruit swim with prune, damson and chocolate. Still chewy and moreish with plenty of life in it. Really good wine from an often underrated area.”
