Kakheti

Khidishlebi is a boutique producer of Qvevri wines produced in the Georgian region of Kakheti. The company is best known for high skin-contact wines from the Rkatsiteli grape.

The Georgian Wines winery project is located in Kakheti, near the Zangaura River. The estate is owned and run by Merab Buzaladze, a former particle physicist. The estate produces wines from rare indigenous grapes such as Tsitska.

Founded in 2014, Casareli produces natural wine with traditional Georgian methods in qvevri. Eight hectares are planted in Kakheti and focus on the native varieties such as Chitistvala, Mtsvivani, Dzaganidze, Kisi, Khikhvi as well as the better known Rkatsiteli and Saperavi.

Established by Tornike Chubinidze, the Chubini winery is located in the village of Shilda, in the Kvareli municipality of Kakheti.

One of the leading names of Georgian wine, Pheasant’s Tears was founded by John Wurdeman and Gela Patalishvili in 2007. They are known for their varietal orange wines.

Tbilvino is the largest winery in Georgia. Although it produces big volumes of bulk wine, the winery also produce a number of appellation wines from local Georgian varieties.

Papari Valley Winery is located on the slopes of the Gombori Mountains in the Kakheti region of Georgia. Founded by Nukri Kurdadze, the estate is known for producing good quality Saperavi using a terraced qvevri system.

The Antadze family have owned vineyards in Kakheti since the 17th century. Despite losing their holdings during the Soviet period, when the lands and possessions were expropriated, Nikoloz Antadze purchased a small part of his family’s former property in Manavi back and today enjoys and excellent reputation for white wines made from the Rkatsiteli

Vachnadziani is a small estate in Gurjaani producing wines from Saperavi.

Shilda Winery is a family operation located in the appellation of Kindsmarauli in Kakheti. A new cellar was constructed in 2015 and the estate produces a range of interesting wines from Georgia’s native varieties.

Founded in 2004, Khareba Winery is a large wine estate producing wine in the region of Kakheti with varieties such as Saperavi. Around 700 hectares are located in Kakheti while there are another 300 in the north west of the country where altitudes are higher. Wines are produced by Vladimer Kublashvili.

Lomtadzeebis Cellar is located in the small village of Velistsikhe in the Gurjaani district of Kakheti.
