Heraklio covers a range of different winemaking styles and permitted grape varieties from the vineyards surrounding the Heraklion district of central and northern Crete. Red wines are often produced using the indigenous Kotsifali grape.
Located in the south of Crete, at an altitude of 500 metres, Domaine Zacharioudakis was founded in 2000 by journalist Stelios Zacharioudakis and his wife Victoria. Today there are 20 hectares of vineyard connected with a state of the art winery.
