Bekaa Valley “Château Musar”
Bekaa Valley “Château Musar”
Château Musar, Bekaa Valley, Lebanon
2011 1998
“Ethereal bouquet. Delicately perfumed, dried herb and potpourri. Some brawny red fruit juxtaposed with earthy undertones. More tertiary aromas of dried rose petal, cedar, sweet spice. The palate is soft and moorish, but still well structured with life ahead of it. A delicious Musar in the classic style still drinking exceptionally well.”

Grenache (45%)Syrah (45%)Cinsault (10%)
“An open, vibrant wine with expressive aromas of violets, black fruit and garrigue. A modern wine with some sweet varietal spice. This is a classy wine with finesse and mineral character. Juicy, but fresh, with an impressively lengthy finish.”

Méditerranée IGP “Hérosé”
Méditerranée IGP “Hérosé”
Cellier des Princes, Rhône Valley, France
2021
Grenache (70%)Cinsault (15%)Syrah (15%)
“Charming nose of crushed summer fruit. Crisp and dry to taste, with refreshing acidity. Nicely integrated mid palate. Mineral edge. Very faint note of strawberries and cream on the finish. A very solid every day blush wine to drink young and have fun with.”

Bandol AOC
Bandol AOC
Château Val d'Arenc, Provence, France
2017
Mourvèdre (80%)Cinsault (10%)Grenache (10%)
“Absolutely delicious rosé! A bright and vibrant pink colour precedes an elegant and refined nose of strawberry and juicy red fruit. On the palate there is scintillating freshness and notable mineral character. A high proportion of Mourvèdre is offset by a touch of Cinsault and Grenache, leaving a medium bodied wine with complexity, balance and intrigue. This is how Bandol (and Provence) rosé should be.”

Côtes du Rhône AOC “L’O de Joncier”
Domaine du Joncier, Rhône Valley, France
2015
Grenache (98%)Cinsault (2%)
“A light and refreshing Côtes du Rhône produced with balance, harmony and character. Not particularly complex but vibrant and energetic, thanks no doubt to four years of certified biodynamic farming. This is savoury and moreish but with just enough polish to make it stand out in a crowd.”

In 1999 they re-introduced a few hectares of Carignan that was planted in 1911 and some Grenache Gris, which today represent key varieties in their portfolio.
