Based in the small village of Montorso Vicentino in the province of Vicenza, Cantina Tonello is one of a number of small, boutique producers inspiring a rapidly developing scene of premium quality sparkling Durello wines. The passion and energy driving the project forward is Diletta Tonello,

The Tonello estate comprises twelve hectares of vineyard situated between the Guà and the Chiampo River. They farm sustainably in order to maximise the effects of their distinctive terroir on the wines and as a consequence are winning plenty of admiration. The Garganega and Durella grapes are extremely well suited to vineyards, which include plots in the communes of Montorso, Arzignano and Montecchio.

The Tonello family also produce some red wines. A Merlot is vinifed in cement tanks so as to amplify the fruit characteristics of the variety. Cabernet Sauvignon is also vinified in concrete while a blend of the two, known as ‘Incognito’ sees around twelve months in French oak.
